Severe Cases of Gynecomastia - Patient 46
Before and after photos of a 23 year old, 6'0, 212 lbs male from Westchester, NY. He had developed Congenital Gynecomastia during childhood and had been unable to reduce the condition on his own. Gynecomastia is caused by the formation of mammary tissue beneath the male breasts that results in an enlargement of the breasts. The condition is common among 65% of adolescent boys and milder cases will often resolve with age, but severe or tubular cases will remain throughout life. This young man had seen no improvement into maturity despite his efforts through diet and exercise to reduce the condition. This brought him to Dr. Mordcai Blau, board certified plastic surgeon and a diplomat of the American Society of Plastic. The patient was not only impressed by the success of the numerous before and after photos offered on Dr. Blau's website but he was also impressed upon learning about Dr. Blau's superior credentials as the world's leading authority on Gynecomastia surgery. Male breast reduction surgery was performed involving excision of the mammary tissue along with liposuction. The incision is only an inch in diameter and, as can be seen in the 6 month post-op photos, it is not noticeable. The patient is very happy with the outcome and feels liberated to be able to remove his shirt in public without feeling self-conscious.
