Severe Cases of Gynecomastia - Patient 36
Before and after photos of a 14 year old teen, who is 5'2 and weighs 160 pounds. He had developed a severe form of Gynecomastia, a condition in which the male breasts become enlarged due to the formation of glandular tissue located beneath the breasts. The condition commonly affects teenage boys beginning at the ages of 8 and 12 and although milder conditions with recede within a few years, more severe or tubular cases, such as with this young man, will be endured throughout life. The patient had been experiencing social issues due to being self-conscious about the appearance of his chest and became withdrawn, which became a concern for his parents. After consulting with his pediatrician, his parents brought him to Dr. Mordcai Blau, board certified plastic surgeon with over 20 years experience. They felt comfortable with Dr. Blau upon learning that he is the utmost expert in his experience and knowledge in Gynecomastia surgery and that over 50% of his practice is dedicated to the correction of the the condition. Furthermore, he has successfully corrected Gynecomastia for many other young teens. Surgery included the excision of the glandular tissue followed by liposuction. The young man and his parents are very satisfied with the results and the teen is discovering a new self-confidence.
