Gynecomastia in Bodybuilders - Patient 27
This is a 26 year old Fairfield County, CT patient who developed Gynecomastia, a condition that is caused by a build up of mammary tissue located on top of the muscles in the breasts, causing them to distend out and become enlarged. As an up and coming bodybuilder, the patient thought the condition would interfere with the success of his career and after discussing his concerns with other bodybuilders, he sought the expertise of Dr. Mordcai Blau. The patient had learned of Dr. Blau's outstanding reputation as the leading authority across the globe in Gynecomastia surgery and that he specializes in bodybuilders. Surgery included the excision of the mammary tissue. Because bodybuilders have such low body fat, liposuction was not required. The incision is only an inch in diameter and inconspicuous. The patient was very happy with the results and even went on to win the 2006 NPC New England Heavyweight Bodybuilding Champion. The results of the procedure were so natural that no one could tell he had surgery.
