Gynecomastia in Bodybuilders - Patient 8
Before and after photos of a 28 year old male from Brooklyn, NY. He developed Gynecomastia at the early age of 13, a condition that forms due to the development of glandular tissue located beneath the male breasts, resulting in an enlargement. The patient had been bodybuilding for several years, and although he was in excellent physical condition, the Gynecomastia only increased with training. He began to feel that the condition was interfering with the advancement of his career and he even considered dropping out. After discussing his frustration with other bodybuilders, they suggests he consult with Dr. Mordcai Blau, board certified plastic surgeon and a diplomat of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He was happy to learn that Dr. Blau has a superlative reputation as a leading authority across the globe in Gynecomastia and is even a well-accomplished author on the subject. The surgical procedure involved the excision of 95% of the glandular tissue. The patient was assured that there is very little chance of the condition returning if the procedure is done correctly. No liposuction was required due to the low percentage of body fat. The incision is only an inch in diameter, and, as can be seen in the post-op photos, it is discreet with minimal scarring. The patient was extremely happy with the outcome and has referred several of his friends to Dr. Blau.
