Asymmetrical/Unilateral Gynecomastia - Patient 6
This is a 39 year old Unilateral Gynecomastia patient from Fairfield County, CT whose right breast was considerably larger than his left. It is a condition that is caused by the formation of mammary tissue underneath the male breast resulting in an enlargement. He felt very embarrassed by the appearance of his chest and felt uncomfortable forming any relationships. Upon doing research, he believed to have Unilateral Gynecomastia and consulted with Dr. Blau, board certified plastic surgeon with over 20 years experience, upon learning that he is respected world-wide as a leading authority in Gynecomastia surgery and even a well-accomplished author on the subject. Upon consultation, Dr. Blau also discovered a small amount of Gynecomastia in the left breast as well. The patient received male breast reduction surgery, excising the mammary tissue along with liposculpture in order to create a symmetrical chest area. The patient is very happy with the outcome and has a much improved self-image.
