Breast reduction for men (Gynecomastia) - Patient 156
This is a 34 year old male, who is 6'3 and 240 lbs, from Suffolk County, Long Island, NY. He had been enduring a condition called Gynecomastia, or enlarged male breasts. This condition results due to an abnormal development of glandular tissue underneath the male breast, causing the breast to become swollen in appearance. The patient was unhappy with the appearance of his chest and felt uncomfortable removing his shirt in public. He consulted with Dr. Blau, board certified plastic surgeon and a diplomate of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, upon learning about his superior reputation as a leading authority throughout the world in Gynecomastia surgery and also a well-accomplished author on the subject. Male breast reduction surgery was performed, a procedure in which the glandular tissue was excised, followed by a small amount of liposuction. The incision is small in length and inconspicuous. The patient is thrilled with the results and no longer feels self-conscious removing his shirt in public.
